- Reconvened roll call (about 1:40): Councilmembers Soheila Bana, Claudia Jimenez, Cesar Zepeda and Sue Wilson, Vice Mayor Doria Robinson and Mayor Eduardo Martinez answered. The Clerk recorded Councilmember Jamelia Brown absent.
Public comment before closed session
- The Clerk read the closed-session item and reported no requests to address the Council in person or online. Public comment was closed, and the Council adjourned to closed session (about 0:08–0:09).

Report from closed session
- On reconvening (about 1:40, near 5:03 p.m.), the report was that the Council “received an update” from the City’s recruiter on the recruitment of the City Attorney position, and that it “took no final action and there is no reportable action under the Brown Act.”
